What this website collects

Very little. This site has no user accounts, no cookies, no advertising, no tracking and no visitor counters. Like almost every website, the server it runs on keeps standard access logs: your IP address, which pages were requested, and what browser you used. These logs are kept automatically for a short time and are only looked at to fix a problem with the server or keep it secure. They are never used to track or identify visitors.

Contact and bug report forms

Our contact and bug report forms are run by Google Forms. Anything you type into them, such as your name, email address, or details about your computer and assistive technology, reaches us through Google and is used only to answer you or to fix the problem you reported. Google's own privacy policy also applies to those forms.

We keep what you send for up to one year. After that, everything that could identify you, including your name and email address, is deleted. We may keep the technical details of a problem, such as a description of the issue, code snippets, and notes on how it was fixed, to help us solve similar problems in the future. Nothing we keep can be traced back to you.

Children

This website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Other services

Donations are handled by PayPal. Our games and software download from our own server at ceruleanbluesoftware.net. It keeps the same kind of standard access logs, including which files were downloaded, and deletes them automatically after about two weeks. As with this site, we only look at them to fix a server problem. Little Boss's Lemonade Stand and our Python tutorial are also available through itch.io. When you use PayPal or itch.io, their own privacy policies and terms apply. We never see your payment details.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time through the contact form. You don't have to wait for the one-year deletion.

Terms of use

Our games and software are provided as they are, and each one comes with its own license agreement, which you accept when you install it. You may not redistribute our software or its content unless its license allows it. All games, software, text, sounds and images on this site belong to Cerulean Blue Software or their credited creators.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. These policies do not override the law in any way.
